You will be part of the remarkable success of Thistle Manor and join the existing experienced staff team. You will be involved in variety of jobs including:


  • Acting as a Named Nurse/ Key Worker for an allocated group of residents;

  • Providing supervision for unqualified/junior staff in line with procedure;

  • Forming part of the Multi-Disciplinary Team in meetings and reviews;

  • Preparing personalised care plans;

  • Completing the Recovery Star Model and Nursing Assessments/ Reports;

  • Supporting residents through their care pathway;

  • Acting as on-call support for your colleagues out of hours (additional payment for each on-call shift undertaken)


Thistle Manor will invest in your future to:


  • Develop your understanding of the Care Quality Commission standards;

  • Improve your communication and team behaviour;

  • Offer appropriate training to your role through mandatory courses and additional personal professional development to improve you as an employee and the service as a whole;

  • Support and funding to undertake specific CPD training that will develop you as an individual and allow you to pass your acquired knowledge on to other members of the team;

  • Invest a package worth up to £5,000 (payments and other incentives) when candidates have successfully completed 1 year of employment. Details to be discussed at interview;

  • The investment and development package above could become a recurring annual benefit dependent on performance.

  • Build your skills to maintain good professional relationships with colleagues, residents and external professionals;

  • Work with the senior managers of the service to ensure residents' safety, developing the service further and work with the senior management to maintain Thistle Manor's excellent reputation.
